TIPA Annual General Meeting
You are invited to our AGM on 25 April 08 (Friday), 7:30pm. We have the privilege to host our AGM at The Arts House (The Old Parliament House) which has a rich heritage dating back to the late 1820s and it used to be the Parliament House where the Singapore Parliament sit.
Last year is a slow year with bountiful of obstacles - ranging from financing issues, to internal struggling among members, balancing of work, life and TIPA. It has never been easy as a committee member and i want to take this opportunity to invite our alumni for the coming AGM to share with you our experiences as well as to appoint new leadership to keep the association going.
The beginning of our term started off with a number of new initiatives - some of them survive to date, some are refined and some are shelved for the right timing to come. The past year, TIPA has constantly engaged herself with TIP Chinese batches as we see the tying up between TIP Chinese and English alumni a very important and unique proposition to our members. Having said that, we faced with a lack of man power and resources when we tried to engage the other batches. The last few months of our term, we are faced with a number of interesting entrepreneurial surprises which hampers some of the decision making process.
In any case, we have finally resolved the issue and come up with a resolution which requires the support of the alumni to continue the growth of TIPA.
